Meet Dr. Chuck Ferry

Dr. Chuck FerrySome people take the straight path into healthcare. For Dr. Chuck, the road had a few turns—and a lot of lived experience. Raised in Michigan, he first discovered chiropractic care as a high school football player recovering after game days. But it wasn’t until years later, after repeated back injuries at a trucking job, that he truly saw what chiropractic could offer. When pain meds and rest stopped working, chiropractic care got him moving again. That’s when things shifted.

Digging Deeper for the Why

Dr. Chuck didn’t just feel better—he started asking questions. Why did this approach work when nothing else did? Why had no one explained the mechanics behind his recurring pain before? A natural problem-solver, he dug into the science behind the care.

Encouraged by a chiropractor friend, he made a bold move: working full time while taking pre-med classes at Jackson Community College. Dr. Chuck earned his way to Palmer College of Chiropractic—the original “Fountainhead” of the profession in Davenport, Iowa—and became Dr. Chuck Ferry at age 40.

Drawing From Experience, Not Just Textbooks

Before entering chiropractic, Dr. Chuck served in the U.S. Army as an administrative specialist and spent over a decade working outside the healthcare field. That background gives him a grounded, practical approach to patient care. He’s certified in chiropractic orthopedics, a focus that helps him sharpen diagnostic precision and dive deeper into patient issues with clarity and care.

He’s also a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and finds renewed purpose with the Novo Chiropractic team. After spending years in different clinical settings, including the VA, this position has helped Dr. Chuck rediscover the joy of patient-focused care.

What Fuels Him Today

Golf (even if he humbly claims he’s still learning), college football (Go Blue), and time with his adult daughter are what Dr. Chuck most enjoys outside the office. He’s right where he wants to be—helping others feel better, move better, and understand their health from the inside out.
